Aeons ago, before time itself was measured, an angel named Seraphiel was given a task by the Divine: to guard the threshold between hope and despair. He was sent to a land where the earth had turned to dust, where life had withered beneath an unyielding sky. His presence alone was meant to be a beacon of renewal, his feet blessing the barren ground with each step.

For centuries, he walked. Where his toes touched, golden flowers bloomed symbols of rebirth in a desolate world. Yet, he could not tarry. His mission was not to restore but to wait, to stand as an eternal sentinel until the one destined to restore balance finally arrived.

But the years stretched into centuries, and the centuries into millennia. The world forgot him, and even the heavens grew silent. He had once held hope like a flame in his chest, but now, with his head bowed and his gaze heavy, he wondered had the Divine forgotten him, too?

Still, he waited. For an eternity, if he must.

For somewhere beyond the horizon, beyond the lifeless trees and cracked soil, destiny was still moving. And when the moment came, he would be ready.
