The Hinge of Dreams
In the forgotten corners of the forest where light dares only to shimmer, there sits a girl bound to a crescent moon - the Hinge of Dreams. Her name is Liora, which means light in a language no longer spoken. Once a bright soul of laughter and warmth, Liora was chosen by the ancient spirits to become the Keeper of Yellow - a color said to hold all memory, joy, and melancholy in equal measure.
She did not know that such a role required silence. That in order to protect yellow - the shade of sunlit joy and withering leaves, of golden fungi and heartache - she would have to give up her voice, her story, her freedom.
Now she sits, dreambound, tethered to the moon by a hinge that cannot be closed. Around her, mushrooms bloom like echoes of forgotten laughter, and golden leaves drift endlessly in a forest where time curls inward. The golden splashes above are the dreams of others she can no longer speak aloud, only watch.
She waits in this muted twilight for someone who remembers how to speak yellow—not as a color, but as a feeling. A whisper. A memory. A light that lives inside the quiet.
Until then, the yellow silence remains. Beautiful. Heavy. Eternal.
