In the corridor between realms, where the veil thins and silence thickens, she waits – the Keeper of the Keys. Neither angel nor mortal, she is a forgotten balance, born of twilight and tasked with holding the choices of souls. Her wings, once luminous, are now stained with the weight of centuries – charred on the edges by the secrets she keeps and the truths she must never tell.

Above her, hundreds of keys drift in quiet suspension, each one a choice, a chance, or a door unopened. They sway not by wind, but by the gravity of destiny. No key is hers to use, only to guard, for their locks belong to the hearts of those still seeking their own path.

At her feet, a scale balances wings long shed – fragments of past decisions, of light lost and shadow gained. Stacked beneath, ancient books whisper the laws of realms higher and lower, laws written not in ink, but in consequence.

The staircase behind her leads upward, bathed in a soft, unreachable glow – while the shadows stretching below remain silent, deep, and patient. She does not ascend nor descend. She remains still, eternal, waiting for those brave enough to choose a key, and face what lies beyond.
