It seems the older I get the more quickly time is slipping away; I blink, and another month has passed. I go to bed and wake up to see the season has changed. As much as I never seem to have enough time to do what I would like to do, it is becoming apparent that there is not even enough time to complete what NEEDS to get done.
In those moments when it gets to be too much to shoulder, I find that closing my eyes, turning my back to everything and everyone clamoring for my attention, and reconnecting to the earth, I am renourished. I may not gain extra minutes, but the sense of feeling eroded, pressured to perform, or cheated out of personal time has diminished. Even if only for a fleeting moment.
